Portland Sea Cadet Unit is one of 400 Units in the Sea Cadet Corps and with over 15,000 Sea Cadets it is one of the leading youth organisations in the United Kingdom.


The aim of the Sea Cadet Corps and in particular Portland Unit, is to help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct using a nautical theme, based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

The Isle of Portland Unit has been running for 50 years, providing opportunities for young people to gain experience and have some Serious Fun. You would be joining a local friendly organisation where we aim to help you settle in, make new friends and start getting involved with the many activities on offer.
